1-5 MG of CBD per 10 lbs of body weight per day (May be divided into AM & PM doses). This is a great guide for starting low, then increasing over a few days to see the desired results in your dog. You can start with Broad Spectrum and see how you like the results and then try full spectrum; even rotate usage because you can’t go wrong with the benefits of either! Dosage suggestions for CATS follow the same suggestions for dogs! Dogs and cats that are under 10 pounds can be given droplets, see the dosage calculation example and dosage chart below for MG of CBD per 1mL for each tincture + MG per droplet. All tinctures are an approximate dose and round up for ease of dosing.
CALCULATING PET DOSAGE EXAMPLES:
Small cat/dog weighing 10 lbs or less:
Multiply 10 lbs by 1 MG per day to begin with a low dosage = 1 MG CBD per day. You may want to begin with the COWGIRL STRONG 1000 MG tincture (1.7 MG CBD per droplet) and give 1-2 droplets per day, may divide into AM &PM servings.
Example of increasing the dosage of a 20 pound pet to 3 MG per 10 lbs per day: 2 x 3 MG = 6 MG per day
Large dog weighing 75 lbs:
Divide 75 by 10 = 7.5 x 1 MG per 10 lbs. per day = 7.5 MG CBD per day (round up for ease of dosing)
To increase dosage to 3 MG per 10 lbs. per body weight per day: 7.5 x 3 = 22.5 MG CBD per day, etc. You may want to begin with COWGIRL STRONG Broad Spectrum 1000 MG flavorless tincture or your best deal would be any combination of the 1200 MG to 2000 MG Full Spectrum tinctures for larger pets, 50 lbs. and up.
Increase the dosage as needed to see the desired results. If you begin with broad spectrum, try full spectrum too. Older pets with arthritis may have some days that are worse than others. Feel free to increase dosage as needed day to day!
