Co-Founders Dawn and Misty established Rocky Mountain Girls Hemp to share the benefits of broad- and full-spectrum hemp-derived CBD oil for horses, pets, and people. What began as a mission to support their own horse’s routine and overall well-being has grown into a trusted line of CBD products used across the United States.

With a focus on supporting the endocannabinoid system (ECS) as part of consistent daily care, their goal is to provide simple, natural options that fit seamlessly into everyday routines.

Their faith-filled journey started with a very special Arabian mare, Angel, that Dawn adopted from a local horse rescue, Safe Landing Horse Rescue . . .

MEET ANGEL

She’s my sensitive, sweet, and beautiful paint mare — we adopted her from Safe Landing Horse Rescue in January of 2018. When she came home, she still needed to gain weight and fill out her topline, but she struggled to settle in and find her place in the herd, which made things even harder on her.

Her coat lacked its shine, her eyes seemed tired, and despite following recommended feeding and care routines with guidance from both the rescue and our veterinarian, we weren’t seeing the progress we hoped for. It was discouraging and emotional to watch her try to adjust.

There was even a moment where I questioned if she might be happier going back — after a tough experience at an event where she reacted to another horse. But in a quiet moment back at the barn, I realized she was meant to stay. She just needed time, patience, and the right routine to truly settle in and become part of our herd.

At a loss for what to try next, I decided to add CBD for horses into her daily routine. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I committed to consistency — starting her on 25 MG per day.

Over the following days, I began to notice positive changes. Her coat started to look healthier, the light returned to her eyes, and she seemed more settled in her environment. She stopped pacing and gradually found her place within the herd, becoming more comfortable and at ease in her routine.

Since then, we’ve made CBD a consistent part of our program, using it across our herd as part of everyday care. It’s been a simple addition that fits seamlessly into our routine — and one we’ve come to trust.
