What Dosage of CBD Should I Be Taking?

Everyone’s Endocannabinoid System may respond differently to phytocannabinoids, and each is dealing with different health and wellness issues. Thus, we recommend individuals (unless dealing with a more serious condition such as cancer) start low and gradually dose up. We suggest adults begin with 5 mg of phytonutrients for a few days, and then increase to 5 mg twice a day if desired results are not achieved. While children should start with about half that (2-3 mg). We suggest giving yourself 5-7 days on an increased dosage, taking note of your body’s response. Most adults find their ideal dose to be about 25 mg daily. You can adjust your dose according to your personal needs (ie: more at night for people that have a hard time sleeping… or more in the morning if you deal with headaches during the day). Once you have had some time with your initial CBD experience, you should feel comfortable trying the different strengths and delivery. Although you will not overdose, there is “BEST #” or daily mg that’s just right for you.

How Soon Will I See A Difference?

Some feel an immediate difference, while others may take longer. Results vary from person to person.

Is It Okay To Increase My CBD Dosage?

Yes. We encourage each of our customers to feel comfortable increasing, decreasing, and trying varying products (Tinctures, Full and Broad Spectrum) in order to find the dosage and product that works best for them.

Are There Any Side Effects for CBD?

While much research is still being conducted in the world of phytonutrients found in the hemp plant, minimal negative side effects have been reported. Some individuals have reported looser stools and/or stomach upset. Although extremely rare, some have reported at certain dosages, phytonutrients from the hemp plant has increased some symptoms, while just as rare some have reported CBD ineffective at too low or too high of a dose.  Thus, we feel it important to start low and dose higher with your initial introduction to phytonutrients. We also recommend doing your own research into the vast amounts of benefits in taking CBD.
